Acoustics can make or break a listening environment. If a room is too ‘live’ or untreated your Hi-Fi will never sound anything like it should and the environment will be noisy with echo and unpleasant to listen in. Think of that clanky noisy canteen sound where background conversations all overlap and become an oppressive mele of sound. Conversely, if you have ever experienced a room completely devoid of echo (anechoic chamber for example), you will know the sound and discomfort of deafening silence.
Designing the perfect acoustic environment is a balance of science and art. Room dimensions and material will depict which frequencies will need the most attention. Whilst room layout, interior design requirements and ergonomics will dictate how these frequencies can be dealt with. It is this balancing act that we feel we have mastered and can guide you through.
