Lilium unites two cabinets into a unique fusion of style and technology. This endeavor captures Sonus faber’s heritage while embracing groundbreaking innovations by our Research and Development team. Lilium harmonizes two distinct acoustic chambers to deliver both powerful low frequencies as well as the heart of the sound spectrum in pristine fashion.

The lyre-shaped front cabinet, designed for forward sound emission, ensures structural strength and efficient energy management. Meanwhile, the rear cabinet, designed for infra-low frequencies, eliminates resonance with strategic reinforcements. Lilium’s front and rear cabinets use different materials – finely grained hard walnut wood for the front and soft leather for the rear – a design that reinforces the duality of the speaker’s engineering philosophy.
Deriving its name from the Latin word for “lily”, Lilium’s design seamlessly merges two distinct identities within a classical “lyre” silhouette. This synthesis of natural shapes exudes grace and harmony. Its top plate, made of tempered glass, mirrors the lily’s form, revealing the passive radiator beneath. Infra-low frequencies travel through the pavement for optimal sound dispersion, and frequency modulation fine-tunes the passive radiator’s movement.
